Summer Academies for High School Students Registration Opens March 1, 2018 
High school students explore various career paths during one-week, hands-on courses while being introduced to the college experience. The Summer Academies are fun too!We’ve added two new academies – Entrepreneurship and Innovation Academy and Future Teachers Academy – plus 12 returning academies in cyber security, democracy in action, coding, engineering and robotics, fashion, fire and emergency services, forensics, biotechnology, health, law enforcement, multimedia journalism, and theater and performing arts.
The week-long academies run:
June 25 – June 29
July 9 – July 13
July 16 – July 20
July 23 – July 27
Register online, with one exception: when you sign up your student for more than one academy, a $50 discount is only available by calling (916) 278-4433, extension 2.

CTE Works

If you will be an 11th or 12th grade student next fall, then now is the time to advance your future and sign up for a local CTE course. CTE stands for Career Technical Education. CORE Placer is able to offer our students the ability to sign up for courses in Fire Science, Dental Career, Medical Assisting, Health Career, and Animal Science. The Dental Career pathways still has several openings!!
